Catching Up ...............
Today we got the first snow of the season and it's huge. Looking out the window, the cars aren't covered so badly but the street is. It's a side street, and it looks like they haven't made a plow pass in a while. Oh well, at least it gives me a chance to catch up.
I've been getting my radiation treatment at 7 AM, 5 days a week, with a few exceptions. I went in on a couple of Sundays to make up for Christmas and New Year's Day and there were a couple of days that I went in at 10 AM so that the doctor could check my progress. I have medicine for my throat so that I can swallow solid foods, and a cream to treat the redness on my neck which looks like a bad sunburn.
It's been tough, considering that I go from there to my Daughter's house and babysit my Granddaughter 4 days a week. But I only have 5 sessions left. Hopefully, I can dig out my car tomorrow and get my sessions done with this week.
My time has been taken up, but I have been busy doing other things.
Monday, December 28th, on my way from the treatment, I noticed this guy working out in front of a bank on St. George Avenue.
There was no one else around but, since it was Christmas Week and I didn't have to babysit, I drove on by.
Thursday, December 31st, was New Year's Eve and they moved my treatment to 10 AM. Afterwards, I drove back towards St. George by cutting through some side streets. That's when I saw this guy.
It had been a while.
Point, press, Flash.
I took the next left.
Thursday, January 7th, I had to go to Walmart to pick up the prescription medicine for my throat. It was really bothering me. Since the Pharmacy wouldn't open until 9 AM, I killed some time in Shoprite and took that stuff home. I got to Walmart at 9:15 and waited while the Pharmacist to mix the medicine. When I got back to my car, I saw this truck driver.
Truckers that park like this annoy me and I was already in a bad mood because of my throat.
Point, press, Flash.
I drove home.
Sunday, the 10th, I was out just running some errands. The medicine was working and my throat felt better (though solid foods still hurt to swallow). I stopped for gas at the Wawa's on Route 1 then cut through a development to get to Shoprite. I saw this guy.
It was a quiet, Sunday morning. I had slept in and my throat felt better.
I drove by.
Wednesday, the 13th, there was a problem with the machine which delayed my treatment by 10 minutes. I was running late as I headed towards my Daughter's. Right in front of the nearby hospital, I saw this woman.
I was pissed and I didn't think.
Point, press, Flash.
I was 10 minutes late but my Son-in-law had waited.
Saturday, the 16th, was another "off" day for me. I decided to drive to Wegman's. I've been having soup for lunch on my "off" days and I thought that I'd check out the prices there. As I headed that way, I came up behind this guy waiting at a corner.
There was no one around.
Point, press, Flash.
Wegman's had Progresso soups on sale and I picked up a few cans of French Onion.
Thursday, the 21st, after treatment I decided to stock up for the pending storm. There are 3 things that I tell my daughter before every major storm - charge your phone, make sure your gas tank is full, and have cash in your wallet.
I topped off my tank and bought some emergency food with my Debit Card so I could get some extra cash. I was on my way home to charge my phone when I saw this guy.
I don't, usually, like bikers but this guy was walking it along.
I went home.
Today, I'm just watching TV and reading. Every now and again, I look out the window. I won't be able to do anything until tomorrow so, today, I'm just catching up on some things.
